dan-san-01-16-headshots-9I was born in Brooklyn during a time where it wasn’t considered an ideal place to live, fortunately I was exposed to different environments as a child and developed an innate curiosity of people. I initially wanted to be a politician because I thought that’s where I can make the biggest positive impact but once I discovered entrepreneurship at 18, I saw a way I could create solutions and influence without being tied to a bureaucratic political machine. I began doing direct sales at 18 and shortly after dropped out of college, the following 2 years I religiously practiced and did direct sales and telemarketing while religiously studying my craft at night. I fully committed myself to learning everything I could about sales and business.

Since 2013 I have successfully completed over 10,000 face to face cold approaches, over 80,000 cold calls and negotiated dozens of reseller and international distribution partnerships that have generated millions in revenue for 3 different consumer brand startups in the past 5 years. My articles on startup sales have been featured on major publications like Forbes, Huff Post, Inc. Magazine and more. I’ve also consulted dozens of music artists on business and marketing, put on music showcases and work to empower impact-driven artists and entrepreneurs on a regular basis. I worked as the Director of Sales at Meural, a company revolutionizing the way art is distributed and consumed with a beautiful digital art canvas and proprietary content platform that supports it. The company was acquired by NETGEAR September 2018, I took a small hiatus then worked as Head of Business Development at JUICE for a little before starting my own sales consultancy for consumer electronic startups, Silicon Alley Consulting.

Over the past 6 years, I’ve learned enough to start sharing what I’ve discovered through my thousands of hours invested in the field. Sales is the foundational skill of creating change and transaction not just of money but also ideas, initiatives and energy. I am currently building Music Unites Souls Everywhere (MUSE), a music label & booking agency designed to empower Rap, R&B and Pop music artists to own their creativity while developing revenue streams around their brand versus selling music. We bring together the roles of a publisher, label, booking agent and manager under one entity that partners with artists. I love to grow and help others grow along the way since others have helped me get here. I believe there is no better way to create an impact on society than as an entrepreneur, where there is no limit to what you can create and achieve.
